It's been a while since I've visited here, but tonight I have some time to myself. Caitlyn is babysitting and will be gone all night! An entire evening alone is a rarity.
Caitlyn and I had a good time today, hitting some garage sales, estate sales and the Salvation Army store. Caitlyn purchased a hat covered in yellow and orange flowers, some make-up bags (she seems to collect those) and some sewing bits and bobbles. I found a couple of old cigar boxes filled with papers...poll tax reciepts dated 1920s, an old deed etc. For a dime a box!
We also dropped by the TRAHC art show downtown. I hadn't seen the show yet, and I wanted to see my digital photos hanging! This is the first art show I've entered in about 25 years or more, so I was happy just to have them accepted. I was even more thrilled when I found out I had been awarded an honorable mention on my Wellworth photo! (I think it's sold! even better!)
The show looked great to me...such diversity of style and mediums. Caitlyn was really taken with the Andy Warhol portraits done by Richard Kartnatz. She thinks his stuff is fab!
I'm gonna try to upload some pics...we'll see how it goes:)
