The newest art "happening" here in Texarkana is
"Art & Libations" held at Stanhope's on State Line in Texarkana.
You bring your favorite beverage and paint along with Merilynn Johnson.
The first session on Thursday night was a vase of red flowers.
Everyone did basically the same painting, but each one had it's own unique look.
It's a fun, laid back, unintimidating way to discover a hidden talent, or to just play!
The entire group of artists had such a great time that almost everyone signed up for another session right away!
I lost count of the number of times someone said to me, "This is SO much fun!"
It's a painting party for grown-ups

So, I am learning! My first post was still in draft form. Maybe I'll get the hang of this yet!

I really don't know what I'm doing, but when I saved my first post it disappeared I think.
I don't see it anywhere anyway.

A Beginning

This is all new to me, and I don't have a clue what I'm doing, but here goes!

I thought I would try this blogging thing as a way to collect my thoughts, goals, dreams in an organized manner.

I'm not very tech savvy, but this seems easy enough, and just doing it seems to be the best way to learn about it.
